Abstract. The article considers the role of electronic services in the lives of modern citizens and analyzes the legal regulation of their use. Electronic services, including government portals, banking applications and online shopping platforms, play an important role in everyday life, providing convenient access to various services. However, their use is associated with certain risks, such as personal data leakage and cyber threats. The article includes an overview of existing legislative acts regulating the operation of electronic services, such as Federal Law No. 152-FZ «On Personal Data» and Law No. 149-FZ «On Information, Information Technology and Information Protection». The work considers the main problems associated with ensuring data security and user rights, including the difficulties caused by the lack of a unified legal framework for protecting information in the digital environment. The rights and obligations of users aimed at increasing their security and the responsibility of service operators are analyzed. In addition, a comparative analysis of international experience in the field of legal regulation is carried out, for example, the impact of the General Data Protection Regulation in the European Union on the development of new security standards. The article highlights the need to improve legislation to create a safe and trusting environment, which is an important step towards building a sustainable digital economy. This article may be useful for lawyers, developers of electronic services, as well as for users who want to better understand their rights and protection in the digital world.
