Abstract. The problems of juvenile delinquency prevention in the Republic of Kazakhstan are extremely important. The severity of the problem is reinforced by the presence of such illegal activities as extremist crimes. This criminal trend became widespread in the Republic of Kazakhstan after the collapse of the Soviet Union, where the prevention system had completely different priorities and forms of work. Independent Kazakhstan has been facing various destructive challenges over the past decades. The bulk of which is due to those reforms in the socio-economic sphere that have led to a change in the social landscape of the state. According to the author of the article, the solution of this difficult task lies in the plane of the correct definition of the special criminological direction that best suits this situation. One of them is the doctrine of the antisocial lifestyle of minors, which was formulated by the famous Russian penitentiary criminologist and sociologist Professor Viktor Ivanovich Ignatenko, whose ninetieth birthday is celebrated this year. The established scientific direction fully corresponds to the social relations in which the personality of juvenile offenders is formed in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The proposed concept reflects such important concepts as a change in the qualitative assessment of the conditions in which the lifestyle of a minor manifests itself. The article defines three such areas: family, leisure and learning environment. The author concludes that despite the fact that quite a lot of time has passed since the scientific definition of the «antisocial lifestyle of minors», its practical significance is only increasing.
