Abstract. This article is devoted to the principles of hybrid warfare. The author analyzes the concept of not only the very idea of the principles, but also the necessary methodological approaches to determining them during the implementation of those negative scenarios that are implemented by global actors in a hybrid war. Particular attention is paid to understanding the reasons for the diversity of possible forms and essential characteristics due to the principles of participation in a hybrid war of various state entities. It is emphasized that, unlike all types of wars of previous periods, «hybrid» wars have made their own adjustments to the generally accepted concepts of war, which led to the transformation of modern conflicts. The principles analyzed in the article allow us to see the specifics of conducting «hybrid» in various spheres of interstate confrontation. Special attention is paid to the importance of modern information technologies for assessing the nature of the «unarmed» interstate confrontation in the absence or uncritical application of the so-called «hot phase». The presented text examines the interpretations and highlights the factors influencing the applicability of information technologies in interstate confrontation. When assessing the use of information technologies as one of the main elements of hybrid warfare, it may seem that they are exclusively negative in nature. Given the principles of their implementation, the author is not inclined to give them such an unambiguous characterization. The peculiarity of the principles of conducting hybrid wars, taking into account their time factor, until the final result is achieved, in most cases they are evaluated as neutral. The work is based on the theoretical aspects of the situation and analytical conclusions, which are of interest for possible further studies related to this issue.
