Recently, the term \u00absovereignty\u00bb has been used in a multi-valued manner in relation to various areas: economic sovereignty, cultural sovereignty, national sovereignty, etc. In this regard, there is a growing need for the correct interpretation and use of these phrases in political vocabulary. Moreover, at the moment this topic is very relevant due to the growing threats both from outside and in the domestic political space in recent years. In particular, from the Western and European powers of the NATO coalition. Of no small importance is the development of the Chinese segment of the Internet and the adoption of a pro-Eastern foreign policy course by the Russian Federation. The article puts forward one of the author\u2019s possible research models for considering the concept of \u00absovereign Internet\u00bb and delving into an interdisciplinary area for the purpose of subsequent study regarding the concepts of information and national security. Concepts such as \u00abhost country\u00bb, \u00abtechnical filter\u00bb, \u00abadministrative filter\u00bb, \u00abcomputer communication service\u00bb, \u00abcryptographic tools\u00bb and others are touched upon. The descriptive method was chosen as a research method due to the fact that the topic is too broad for detailed study.
