So, in recent years, interest in the lives of famous historical figures has begun to return. A special area of this \u00abinterest\u00bb is connected with the life of the Russian imperial family, where, as a rule, the personality of the Emperor was at the center. But if we have an idea about the life of the Autocrats, then we know very little about the lives of his family members and courtiers. Not all of them left diary memories or became \u00abobjects\u00bb of camera-fourier magazines. But their daily lives reveal the nature of those social connections that underlie many important historical events. Of particular interest to the researcher are the personal diaries of representatives of the House of Romanov and their entourage \u2014 dignitaries of various levels, the military elite, ladies-in-waiting, tutors of the heirs to the throne and other persons close to the imperial family. Now many of these historical documents are available in a digital corpus of diaries on the website \u00abLived\u00bb. The proposed article examines the experience of the Novorossiysk Historical Museum-Reserve&#8217;s appeal to the history of the Russian Imperial House as a source and inspiration for creating and holding events for the general public dedicated to various anniversary and festive events. The author reveals the connection of the imperial family with Novorossiysk and the Black Sea province, the center of which was the city in 1896\u20131920.
