Based on this, specialists in various fields of scientific knowledge, primarily criminologists and sociologists, are trying to solve a social problem where individuals who abuse alcoholic beverages could not become criminally dangerous to society. In the presented article, the author examines the sociological and criminological problems faced by society and the state in connection with various forms of criminal manifestation by persons under the influence of alcohol. In particular, it is noted that an individual, regardless of how he consumes alcoholic beverages, may, under certain conditions, become a participant in any illegal act. This is especially true for people who have been abusing alcoholic beverages for quite a long period of time, which entails a fairly large amount of social and legal restrictions. The longer the period of alcohol abuse, the more strongly the individual learns the appropriate stereotypes of social behavior. The relevance of the problem under consideration is due to the systemic changes that have occurred in social and regulatory relations in the post-Soviet period. The author notes that living conditions have now changed dramatically, which in itself may be a specific condition for committing a crime by an intoxicated individual.
