Abstract. The scientific article raises an important issue of geopolitical interaction between Russia and Syria in the modern context, which is a relevant topic for research. The purpose of the article is to deeply analyze the prospects for this cooperation and its impact on regional and global security, which requires careful consideration of many factors. The task is to study the impact of Russian policy on the Syrian conflict and its consequences for international relations, which is a key aspect in understanding the current situation.
The author emphasizes the importance of the Russian presence in Syria as an important factor changing the balance of power in the Middle East, which has far-reaching consequences. Attention is focused on the military and economic assistance provided by Russia to Syria, as well as on Moscow’s strategic interests in this region, which emphasizes the multi-level nature of the interaction. The issue of Syria’s role as a key ally of Russia in the Arab world is updated, which opens up new horizons for further analysis.
The scientific article makes the following conclusions: firstly, Russia seeks to strengthen its position in the Middle East through support for Bashar al-Assad, which is a strategically important step. Secondly, this cooperation allows Russia to compete with Western powers in the region, which creates new challenges and opportunities. The conclusion is summarized that the geopolitical prospects of Russia and Syria depend on the internal dynamics in Syria and the international situation, which requires constant monitoring and analysis.
